Stranger in the House was published on 1st September 2008. Julie was recently interviewed by Jenni Murray on Woman’s Hour and the book was serialised in You Magazine in November, and has been reviewed in the Daily Telegraph, The Spectator, the Mail on Sunday, Good Housekeeping, BBC History Magazine and most recently The Sunday Times.

The exhibition Stranger in the House opened at the Imperial War Museum North on 25th October 2008 and will run until March 2009. Stories drawn from the book and photographs of the main characters will be on display along with archive material from the Imperial War Museum’s collections.

Julie will be appearing at the Kendal Mountain Festival on 22nd and 23rd November interviewing the climber, film-maker, writer and artist, Jim Curran and she will also be presenting the Boardman Tasker Awards.
